SWEET DEAD EARLY READER PRIZE PACK GIVEAWAY!

THE SWEET DEAD LIFE arrives from Soho Press on May 14th, but I have decided that's still far away! Cause everyone is dying (pun intended) to read this Texas twist on the angel genre. Find out about Jenna Samuels and Casey, her less than saintly brother and guardian angel. There's mystery and poison and breakfast tacos in this irreverent novel of family, love, and the healing power of kolaches. None less than Kirkus declares: "Hallelujah! A paranormal tale of angels that's not a romance. A novel that breaks the mold."

This is the book that begins: "I found out two things today: One, I think I'm dying. And two, my brother is a perv."

You KNOW you want to read on. Casey and Jenna want you to read on!

Best of all, one of you is going to get to read before everyone else!!!

Here's what you could win: A hardback copy of THE SWEET DEAD LIFE! SWEET DEAD LIFE postcards! AND.... A cowboy boot can coozie!  Your SWEET DEAD EARLY READER PRIZE PACK looks like this:

All you have to do is comment here on the blog and tell me your favorite angel book or movie or TV show and why. (of course, after you read TSDL, you will discover what you've been missing and it will be your favorite!)

Contest is open through Saturday. I'll announce the winner on Monday 4/29.
Make sure that you check back or that I can easily contact you when you win! Otherwise the prize will go to someone else!

SWEET!!!

One of my fave angel books is probably Blue Bloods. It's such a unique series with an angel/vampire twist. It put together two things I love reading about.

What an exciting prize pack! I love being able to read books early and share them with the world!

My favorite angel tv show would have to be Saving Grace. There is something so pure about how Holly Hunter is greeted by such a different kind of angel then you'd ever believe.

PS - in proving I'm not a robot my two words were (so-called funzio)... I'm not so-called fun, I'm the real deal!

This is so exciting!! I have two - both TV shows - "Dead Like Me" and "Joan of Arcadia". Two of the best TV shows ever. They both had awesome female characters and "Dead Like Me" had Mandy Patinkin!! Yay!!!

Ooh early copy. That's exciting.

My favorite angel movie would have to be Angels in the Outfield. I love the little boy and how he hinges all his hopes on a baseball game.

Angel is my favorite angel, even though he is no angel. And Spike is my second favorite no angel, angel.

My favorite angel book is the Unearthly series by Cynthia Hand. There are so many surprises in the book, and angels of all varieties - guy, girl, young, old, etc. Hand's a fantastic storyteller.

Thanks for doing this giveaway!

I really want to read your new book - and I must admit a personal bias against angel stories. I don't like them (usually).

That said, my favorite angel is on the cover of the book Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson - a book which really does not feature angels at all - it's full of impossible love and insanity and suspension of disbelief.

Ooh, tough question! I unfortunately haven't read very many angel books--so I'm going to go with the Mortal Instruments series, by Cassandra Clare. (It has angels in it, I promise!) (:

Ack! I won't even go there on angel books, too many to pick from. But fave angel movie? Defending Your Life, the one with Meryl Streep. LOVED it. In fact, may have to Netflix that bad boy right now... I hope I win! I can't wait for this book.

My favorite angel book is "The Mortal Instruments" series by Cassandra Clare. It's my favorite because this series explains that angels aren't all exactly.. good or kind hearted, Angels are a BIG part of this series being that Shadowhunters are half angel and half human. I am a BIG Joy Preble fan and I've been looking forward to this book because this story just seems so unique in my eyes, I've be counting down the days until this book comes out :D
